Here in New Zealand for Earth Day 2021 around the country our focus was on tree/garden/native species plantings and “adopting a school” to transform or create a garden.
Macleans Primary School – Auckland New Zealand
Our Auckland brand selected Macleans Primary School.
Around 20 kids along with the Komatsu Auckland team helped restore and rebuild a school garden for Earth Day. In addition, 20-30 packets of various vegetable, herb and flower seeds was given to the children to take home - compliments of Komatsu - to start their own Earth Day Garden. The garden was transformed with over 30-40 new plants and bushes planted – one for every member of the class and our Auckland Komatsu team.
Westbrook School Earth Day Project – Rotorua New Zealand
Around 20-30 kids plus the Komatsu Rotorua team helped restore and rebuild a school garden for Earth Day. In addition, 30 packets of various vegetable, herb and flower seeds were given to the children to take home - compliments of Komatsu - to start their own Earth Day Garden. The garden was transformed with over 30-40 new plants and bushes planted – one for every member of the class and our Rotorua Komatsu team.
