CONSTRUCTION COMPANY SURE OF THE BEST WITH KOMATSU

"Komatsu makes better-built, more reliable machinery"

Sure-Construction-b-(1).jpgA Premier Victorian Construction Company, with a 50 year history in the business, after trying three different brands of excavators over 18 years were won over by a low hour 27T Excavator.

Since that first Komatsu purchase of the PC270LC-8 in 2011, Sure Constructions has added a further three Komatsu machines to its fleet.

Construction Manager David Muir said Komatsu's reputation as the best in the business and competitive pricing convinced him to invest in Komatsu equipment.

"By 2011, Komatsu had become very competitive in terms of price," he said.

"Komatsu has always been known industry-wide as the best for reliability, so picking up a near-new excavator in our price range was fantastic.

"Since Komatsu released its range of equipment in Australia it has set a trend for performance and reliability that the other brands have tried to follow."

After operating a 27-tonne and 13.5-tonne excavator and two backhoes, Mr Muir said Komatsu's solid reputation is well deserved.

"Komatsu makes better-built, more reliable machinery," he said.

"Where we operate in Gippsland there's 40 inches of rain for six months of the year, and the heavy, clay-based soil we're working in wreaks havoc on the track gear and final drives of most of our equipment but not Komatsu.

"We're getting 2000 extra hours out of our Komatsu machines before we have to worry about replacing parts."

Mr Muir also said there were benefits to owning Komatsu machines that weren't immediately obvious on the showroom floor.

"We do a lot of precision work, and that's where the Komatsu really comes into its own," he said.

"They're a much steadier, solid and more stable machine, which makes it a lot easier for our operators to use.

"For our precision works, we needed machinery with finer tolerances, which we've definitely found with Komatsu."
