Komatsu Australia announces new corporate structure

Komatsu Australia is pleased to announce a new corporate structure for the Komatsu Australia group of companies. The purpose of this new structure is to streamline Komatsu’s distribution and manufacturing businesses into one consolidated entity, to better support and service our customers.

Under Komatsu Australia’s current structure, the sales, service, and support functions in New Zealand are performed by Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 71 143 476 626) operating as a New Zealand branch.  The manufacturing business that provides remanufacturing, parts and product assembly services, are supplied by the parent entity of Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd, being Komatsu Marketing Support Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 63 053 514 739). From 1 November 2022, these functions will be performed by a newly created legal entity, Komatsu New Zealand Limited

As of 1 November 2022:

• Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 71 143 476 626) (KAL) will transfer its New Zealand business and assets to the newly created legal entity Komatsu New Zealand Limited (NZBN 9429050679508) (KNZ) and KNZ will complete all of KAL’s obligations in New Zealand.

• KNZ will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Komatsu Marketing Support Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 63 053 514 739).

• Komatsu Marketing Support Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 63 053 514 739) will change its name to “Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd”.

What will change?

The change in structure is an internal reorganisation of the current businesses only. There is no change to ownership, our registered corporate address or bank account details.

All existing contracts for Komatsu Australia products and services are between KAL and its New Zealand customers. Accordingly, there is a requirement to assign all existing contracts and/or purchase orders/invoices to KNZ. If you have a credit account with KAL, this account will also be assigned to KNZ.

A representative from KAL will be in contact with all affected parties. However, in the meantime, whilst our bank account details are not changing, please update your systems as required to ensure payment is made to the correct legal entity from 1 November 2022
