980E-4 Dump Trucks

The 980E-4 haul truck is the largest in Komatsu’s mining truck lineup. The truck is rated at a nominal 369 tonne payload capacity and is powered by a 2,610 kW / 3,500 Hp engine. The truck was developed to pass match with larger hydraulic excavator classes and rope shovels. Vehicle systems are very similar in layout to Komatsu’s smaller mining truck models and are designed with inherent reliability in-mind. Maintainability features ensure a minimal mean time to service. The unit comes standard with our KOMTRAX PLUS remote monitoring and location system, backed by our New Zealand-wide service and support network.

In-line, replaceable filtration elements provide protection from hydraulic system contamination, making the system easier to service.

By using advanced computer-aided design, finite element analysis, and full-scale dynamic and static testing, the frame design has been structurally enhanced to carry more weight and provides the highest structural reliability in the industry.
