Spencer Raynel, Regional Customer Service Manager in Waikato, took part in the Child Cancer Foundation NZ trail ride over the weekend. Spencer’s nine-year-old nephew Nixon, a leukemia survivor, was the inspiration behind Spencer’s choice of charity to support for the Live Your Dream Campaign.
The Live Your Dream is a Komatsu employee initiative that sees selected employees partnering with their chosen not-for-profit organisation to raise awareness and funds, as well as receive $10,000 to the charity from Komatsu.
Spencer put together an extraordinary event. Chilly weather and rain in the morning did not dampen anyone’s spirits as riders set off for their laps. Spencer was lucky enough to ride with two great New Zealand motorcyclist, Ben Townley, and Sean Clarke. Komatsu staff, suppliers, and friends also were also in all action, supporting Spencer’s great-day for great cause.
