RED BULL RACING AUSTRALIA HAS ARRIVED

New V8 Supercars are launched

It’s official. Almost six months to the day since partnering with Triple Eight Race Engineering, Red Bull is thrilled to announce that Red Bull Racing Australia has arrived and is ready to bring a new attitude to pit lane.

Red-Bull-Launch-b-(1).jpgIt's an exciting day in Red Bull's proud motorsports history to realise a long-held

dream and pull the covers off what is anticipated to be one of Red Bull's

greatest ever collaborations.

The team worked furiously in the off-season to prepare the all-new Holden VF

Commodores that were today unveiled for the first time in Sydney by reigning

champion Jamie Whincup and three-time series champion Craig Lowndes.

The cars are also the first built to the 2013 V8 Supercars Car of the Future

specifications.

Already Triple Eight has four driver championships and as many team

championships, and with Red Bull's involvement the team now known as Red

Bull Racing Australia hopes to add to those achievements starting with

Adelaide's Clipsal 500 on February 28.

"Red Bull is known world-wide as a champion of all things motorsport and I

believe with Triple Eight, we can build on the success of both organisations,"

Triple Eight Race Engineering owner Roland Dane said.

Red Bull Australia and New Zealand managing director Jason Sargent added:

"Red Bull has an affinity with all things motorsport that stretches back four

decades to our inaugural athlete signing of Formula 1 driver Gerhard Berger.

Since then Red Bull has become synonymous with Formula 1, MotoGP, the

World Rally Championship, Air Race, motocross and endurance racing. V8

Supercars has long been a passion of ours and after years of involvement with

some very talented athletes such as Marcos Ambrose and Rick Kelly, the stars

finally aligned to allow us the opportunity for full team involvement.

"And to be partnered with a championship-winning outfit like Triple Eight Race

Engineering with the likes of Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes, it's the ideal

start to what we hope will be a long and successful relationship."
