Komatsu New Zealand is returning to Fieldays, the southern hemisphere’s largest agricultural event, with a bang, launching their new 2.5 tonne mini excavator to the New Zealand market across the four-days.
The PC25MR-5 mini excavator is a compact machine that doesn’t compromise on productivity or performance, and is ideal for landscapers, contractors or farmhands doing demolition or digging work.
Komatsu New Zealand’s Managing Director, Jean-Christophe (JC) Nyssens, says Fieldays NZ is the perfect opportunity to launch the new model to the New Zealand market.
“Fieldays’ broad reach across not only the agriculture market but also into construction and utility gives us the opportunity to showcase our diverse range of equipment and machine technology and solutions. The team is really looking forward to being back on the ground at the event after a couple of years hiatus,” JC says.
“The PC25MR-5 is compact, yet powerful, and can still be towed on a trailer, rather than having to invest in a truck to move it from site to site. At 1.5m wide, it suits the tight worksites you find on residential builds or city projects, making it a great addition to fleets that need a machine that can get into smaller spaces, and still deliver on performance.”
Along with their leading range of machinery on display, Komatsu will also showcase their technology solutions that help owner/operators keep track of their fleets.
“The PC25, and many of the other mini and midi excavators we’ll have on display, all come standard with Komtrax™, Komatsu’s advanced wireless monitoring system. Komtrax allows owners and operators to effortlessly track machine performance, stay informed about equipment status, and optimise efficiency, ultimately saving time and increasing profitability.
“Komatsu has put a big focus on making sure this type of technology is available on our smaller pieces of equipment as well and it’s been a huge benefit for our customers,” JC says.
Throughout Fieldays, Komatsu staff and technical experts will be on hand to talk to visitors about all aspects of their equipment, service and support, including information about their leading apprenticeship program, with applications opening in July.
“An apprenticeship with Komatsu is like no other, with career growth and opportunities a big focus. Our team is excited to chat to people from all walks of life about what a career at Komatsu looks like.
“Make sure you stop by stand Q15, where visitors and their families will have the chance to win prizes, take advantage of show special offers, and find out more about Komatsu, our products and services, and our people.”
