GARBAGE & RECYCLING
Many materials we use each day can be recycled. For example;
aluminum
plastic
glass
paper
cardboard
but not these items as some people may think:
foam
light bulbs
plastic bags (but you can re-use them)
Pictured below is Australia's universal recycling symbol.

If you see a product with this symbol, it's safe to recycle.
How can you help recycle?
If you see any of these materials at home that have the recycling symbol, keep track of its use, and when someone has finished with it and it becomes rubbish, make sure you put it in the recycling bin.
If you see any of these materials at school that have the recycling symbol, check that it is rubbish and doesn't belong to anyone, and then put it in the recycling bin.
If you know which materials can be recycled, you can help make the environment a greener place to live.
The Komatsu BR380JG Crusher is a machine that is
helping to recycle and re-use waste. It crushes big
pieces of concrete and rubble into smaller pieces,
which can then be used to build new buildings,
roads and lots more.
